This vintage Sears 95233 stockman knife offers rugged mid-century charm and dependable craftsmanship. Featuring warm amber jigged synthetic handles, nickel silver bolsters, and a classic Sears oval shield, this USA-made knife is fitted with three carbon steel blades—clip point, sheepsfoot, and spey—designed to tackle a range of daily cutting tasks.
The main clip blade is tang-stamped “SEARS / USA / 95233,” indicating production during the 1970s or early 1980s, likely under contract from Schrade or Camillus—both long-time suppliers for Sears' Craftsman and Sears-branded knives.
Maker: Sears (contracted through Schrade or Camillus)
Pattern Number: 95233
Blades: 3 – Clip point, sheepsfoot, and spey
Handle Material: Amber jigged synthetic
Shield: Sears oval (nickel silver)
Bolsters: Nickel silver
Liners: Brass

Condition Notes:
All three blades show signs of honest use—scratches, patina, and wear—but remain full and functional. The main clip blade has a weak back-snap yet opens smoothly and stays snug during use, with only a slight amount of side-to-side play that does not affect function. The secondary blades have good snap. Handles are bright and intact with no chips or cracks, and all pins are secure. Some wear to the bolsters and shield from carry. Please see all photos for detailed condition.
Historical Note:
Sears & Roebuck was a retail titan in mid-20th century America, selling everything from tools to knives through its famous catalog. Models like this one were built tough and sold to working men across the country—functional tools that also represent a golden age in American manufacturing.
Collector’s Note:
This is a solid example of a branded contract stockman, with strong vintage lines and materials. A great user or display piece for collectors of American hardware store knives or those with an eye for mid-century utility design.
