This elegant and character-rich pocket knife was crafted in Sheffield, England by John Rodgers—an historic cutler brand dating back to the 18th century. Though likely made in the mid-1900s, this knife still reflects the old-world craftsmanship that put Sheffield on the map. The most striking feature is its vibrant pink jigged bone handles—a rare and eye-catching choice—aged beautifully with some expected shrinkage over time. Framed by nickel silver bolsters and brass liners, it remains a bold survivor of its era.

The knife carries three carbon steel blades:

Clip Point

Spey

Pen Blade

Condition Notes:
This knife is in good vintage condition with honest wear and signs of age. The blades show a consistent gray patina with pitting and use marks, but still retain decent edges. Blade action is decent with secure snap. The bone handle covers have shrunk slightly over the years—common for natural material on knives of this age—but remain solid and well-secured. Bolsters show standard wear, and the shield is slightly proud but intact. A rare find with authentic age and style.

History Note:
The Rodgers name is legendary in British cutlery. Based in Sheffield, England—once the steel capital of the world—John Rodgers & Sons was known for producing everything from pocketknives to royal presentation pieces. Their star and cross mark became one of the most recognizable hallmarks of English quality, with knives exported globally, particularly to the American market.

Collector’s Note:
Knives with pink bone handles are exceptionally uncommon, especially from legacy Sheffield brands like Rodgers. Whether you’re a fan of British cutlery, vintage bone-handled folders, or rare handle colors, this knife delivers an undeniable blend of function and flair. An ideal addition for collectors of Sheffield steel, early 20th-century knives, or those drawn to knives with story and soul.
