This 1997 Remington R4468 jack knife is a handsome, USA-made piece perfect for either collecting or everyday carry. Featuring two satin-finished spear and pen blades, the knife retains its original factory grinds with only light rub marks visible. The blades are tang stamped with the classic "Remington UMC" circle and marked “1997” and “R4468.”
The handles are rich reddish hardwood with brass pins, polished nickel silver bolsters, and a flush-fit bullet shield, all in excellent condition. The knife comes complete with its original black Remington "Trade Mark" two-piece box.
History Note:
Remington has a long-standing reputation for quality cutlery, dating back to the early 20th century. The R4468 pattern pays tribute to Remington’s iconic pocket knife lines and was revived in limited production runs during the 1990s under licensed USA manufacturing. The bullet shield and robust design harken back to their original hunting and utility knives of the 1920s–30s.
