Shipping to United States: $6.95

This slim, elegant gentleman’s knife was crafted in France and marked for Gerson Co. of Boston—a company known for importing European cutlery in the mid-20th century. Featuring a long slender blade and cream-colored textured handle, this piece carries a clean, understated presence typical of promotional or executive knives from the 1940s–50s.

Specs:

Tang stamp: GERSON CO. BOSTON 26 FRANCE

One-blade folding knife

Approx. 5" closed

Cream-colored textured handles (likely early plastic)

Steel bolster

Brass pins

Condition:
The blade has excellent opening and closing snap and remains full with only light signs of age. There is a small crack near the center pin on the handle (see photo), but it remains structurally sound. This knife ships wrapped in acid-free archival tissue to help preserve both the blade and handle during transit and storage.

Historical Note:
Gerson Co. was a Boston-based importer of cutlery and novelty goods during the mid-20th century. This knife reflects the postwar trend of sleek European-style designs tailored for businessmen and promotional gifting, offering a glimpse into the aesthetics of that era.

Collector's Note:
An uncommon example of French postwar cutlery made for the American market, this knife blends elegance and utility. A great addition to any collection of vintage gentleman’s folders or promotional knives.
