This charming little Boker’s Improved Cutlery pen knife is a vivid example of early 20th-century pocketknife artistry. With a unique diagonal two-tone handle—cream on one side and a green swirl celluloid on the other—this knife stands apart with both elegance and character. A small but spirited piece, it's fitted with two carbon steel blades and bears the classic Boker tree logo on one tang, with “Boker’s Improved Cutlery” etched on the other.

At just over 3.25" closed, it slips easily into a pocket and reflects the refined workmanship Boker was known for during the early 20th century. The colorful handle combination is not only eye-catching but also quite rare for the period.

This knife shows honest age and use, with scattered patina and blade wear typical of its vintage. Blades open and close with good snap. No cracks or chips in the handle. A visually striking survivor from Boker’s early production days. This knife ships wrapped in acid-free archival tissue to help preserve both the blade and handle during transit and storage.

Historical Note:
Boker’s “Improved Cutlery” marking was used during the interwar period, when the Solingen-based company was expanding its exports to America and refining its branding. The tree logo, rooted in the family’s original toolmaking tradition, remains one of the most recognized symbols in knife history.

Collector's Note:
This knife is a prime example of how utility and visual flair could coexist in everyday carry items from the past. Its compact size and decorative handles make it a standout for collectors of early German knives, pen knives, or colorful celluloid examples.
