The carbon steel clip and skinner blades are timeworn but intact, opening with smooth snap and authority, even if there’s some play at the pivot—this one has seen the field and lived to tell the tale.

📜 Historical Note:
The 6265 SAB is one of Case's most iconic folding hunter patterns—an essential piece in the American outdoorsman's kit during the mid-20th century. The “SAB” designation indicates the blades are Saber Ground, offering durability for skinning and field dressing. Its large frame and dual-blade configuration made it a go-to for hunters, ranchers, and tradesmen alike.

💡 Collector’s Note:
Knives from the 1965–1969 “XX USA” period are increasingly sought after, especially larger patterns like the 6265. This piece retains excellent vintage presence and is ready to serve as either a working tool or an anchor in your Case display.
