This vintage Camillus pocket knife, made between 1960 and 1976, is a versatile three-blade jack crafted during one of Camillus’ most prolific eras. Its tang stamp features “Camillus” underlined with “New York USA” beneath—one of the most recognized identifiers of mid-20th-century Camillus knives. Compact at 3 3/8" closed, it fits easily in the pocket while offering three useful blades for everyday tasks.

The knife’s handles are eye-catching yellow-and-brown swirl celluloid, a material popular in mid-century cutlery for its bold visual appeal. Nickel silver bolsters and brass pins complete the construction, giving this knife both durability and character.

Historical Note
Camillus was one of America’s largest knife producers, operating from 1876 until its closure in 2007. The underline tang stamp seen here was used between 1960 and 1976, a period when Camillus supplied both military and civilian markets. Swirl-pattern celluloid handles like these captured mid-century style, making them especially appealing to collectors today.

Collector’s Note
With its bold celluloid scales, three-blade utility, and clear Camillus tang stamp, this knife embodies the look and feel of mid-20th-century American pocket knives. The unique handle pattern ensures no two examples are exactly alike, giving this piece extra charm for display or collection.
