This vintage 1978 Case XX Stockman 6392 is a fine example of classic American knife-making. The knife features three blades: a clip point, sheepsfoot, and spey—each tight with excellent function. The tang stamp reads Case XX USA with two dots, dating the knife precisely to 1978.
The handles are richly jigged bone with a warm, dark hue, accented by nickel silver bolsters and the classic oval CASE shield. There are some minor carbon spots on the blades and leaf spring from age (see photos), consistent with its vintage character. Overall, the knife has been well cared for and remains fully functional.
