Vintage 1946–1950 Camillus Two-Blade Pocket Knife – Jigged Black Delrin Handles – 3 1/2" Closed

$35.00

Shipping to United States: $7.95

This Camillus Cutlery Co. two-blade pocket knife dates from the early post-war years, circa 1946–1950—a time when American factories were returning to peacetime production but still carried the rugged ethos of wartime design. Measuring 3½ inches closed, it features clip and pen blades showing rich, dark patina throughout with honest wear from decades of use. Both blades open with a satisfying snap, though each exhibits some side-to-side play when open.

The handles are deep black jigged Delrin (an early synthetic used for durability and texture), fitted with nickel silver bolsters and brass liners. Tight and crack-free, the scales retain excellent definition in their jigging pattern, offering that classic “working knife” grip feel.

📜 Historical Note:
Camillus was among the most trusted American cutlery firms of the 20th century, producing military and civilian knives alike. Post-war examples like this one often reflect surplus-era materials and patterns—built tough, straightforward, and made to serve. The 1946–1950 era saw Camillus refining its classic pocket knife lines before the rise of stainless steel.

🧲 Collector’s Note:
This knife embodies the utilitarian heart of post-war American cutlery. Its age-worn patina and honest play give it real presence in any collection—a snapshot of mid-century American craftsmanship made to be used, not displayed.
