📜 Historical Note:

The “Sooners” commemorates the settlers who rushed into the Unassigned Lands of Oklahoma in 1889, a defining moment in the expansion of the American West. Boker’s Great American Story series—produced in the 1970s—paid tribute to such formative events, pairing classic American knife patterns with historical themes, etched blades, and serialized handles.

These commemorative knives were produced in limited runs and registered by serial number, making them favorites among collectors of Boker USA and Americana memorabilia.

🧲 Collector’s Note:

Boker’s Story Knives series remains one of the most charming and display-worthy commemoratives of the 1970s. This “Sooners” knife stands out for its crisp etch, deep jigging, and low serial number. With its box, papers, and excellent overall condition, it makes a strong addition to any Boker, western expansion, or USA-made knife collection.
