$120.00
This 1982 Schrade NKCA (National Knife Collectors Association) Trapper is a beautifully preserved example of early-1980s American knife craftsmanship. Produced in a limited run of 10,000 pieces, this knife features genuine stag handles—rich in texture, color, and natural character—paired with crisp blade etching unique to the 1982 NKCA annual issue.
Both blades open smoothly with strong snap, and the etching on the clip blade remains bold and clean. The only notable age-related mark is light spotting along the spine of the clip blade, visible in photos. Otherwise, this knife stands as an excellent vintage collectible with premium natural materials.

Historical Note
The NKCA annual knives were some of the most anticipated releases in knife collecting during the 1970s–1990s. Each year, a different American manufacturer produced a limited-run knife exclusively for NKCA members. In 1982, Schrade carried the torch, delivering this handsome stag-handled trapper that quickly became a favorite among collectors.
These knives represent a golden era of U.S. cutlery—when companies like Schrade, Case, and Queen crafted knives built to last generations.
Collector’s Note
Genuine stag NKCA knives—especially those produced by Schrade—remain highly desirable due to their natural handle materials, limited production, and historical connection to the American knife-collecting boom. This example is clean, tight, and displays beautifully in any Case, Schrade, or NKCA-focused collection.
