Vintage 1950s–1960s Boker Tree Brand Jack Knife – Solingen Germany – Pocket Worn Jigged Bone – 3 1/4" – Strong Snap

$65.00

Shipping to United States: $7.95

This vintage Boker Tree Brand pocket knife is a classic example of mid-century Solingen craftsmanship, built during the 1950s–1960s era when Boker used the dual-language tang stamp “BOKER – SOLINGEN – GERMANY-ALEMANIA.” This stamp is highly collectible today and firmly anchors the piece in the post-war period of German cutlery manufacturing.

The knife features two blades—a long clip blade and a pen blade—each showing honest patina and age-darkening consistent with 60–70 years of history. Despite the patina, both blades retain excellent function, snapping open and closed with strength and no side-to-side play. The backspring shows matching patina but remains tight and reliable.

The handles are a highlight: pocket-worn jigged bone that has mellowed beautifully over decades of carry. The rich caramel and chestnut tones, combined with softened jigging from honest use, give this knife a warm, authentic character that collectors love. The nickel silver bolsters frame the “TREE BRAND” shield, which remains clean and clear.

Measuring 3 1/4" closed, this is a compact, classic jack knife perfect for collectors of German traditional patterns.

📜 Historical Note:

Boker’s German-Alemania tang stamp was used during the mid-20th century, most commonly seen in knives exported to English- and Spanish-speaking markets from the 1950s into the 1960s. Boker’s Tree Brand line is one of the oldest continuous trademarks in the cutlery world, dating back to the mid-1800s. Mid-century examples like this—especially in original bone—are increasingly sought after for their craftsmanship and authenticity.

🧲 Collector’s Note:

Collectors appreciate these mid-century Boker Tree Brand knives for their rugged build and distinctive heritage stamps. The pocket-worn bone on this example makes it especially appealing—an honest, character-rich piece with excellent mechanical integrity. A great addition for Solingen collectors, Boker enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a genuine mid-century working knife with personality.
