This 1972 Camillus New York USA stockman is a beautifully preserved example of early-1970s American pocketknife craftsmanship. Measuring 3 5/8" closed, it features a rare and desirable three-blade configuration: a large clip point, a smaller matching clip point, and a precision coping blade with its unmistakable angled spine. The blades are crisp, bright, and retain their original factory profiles.
Snap is excellent across all three blades, and there is no wobble present. The jigged brown Delrin handles show attractive color depth with no cracks, and the nickel silver bolsters and shield remain clean and tight. It is a standout piece that displays the fit, finish, and reliability that made Camillus one of America’s great knife manufacturers.

HISTORICAL NOTE
Camillus Cutlery, founded in 1876, supplied knives for both world wars and became one of the largest and most respected American knife makers of the 20th century. By 1972, Camillus was producing refined Delrin-handled pocketknives with the precision that collectors now treasure. This stockman pattern—especially with a coping blade—is an excellent example of the company’s durable, working-class designs that stood the test of time.
COLLECTOR'S NOTE
Stockman knives with dual clip blades plus a coping blade are less commonly seen than the classic clip/sheepsfoot/spey combination. This piece is especially appealing for collectors who appreciate unique blade sets, early-70s Camillus production quality, and knives that remain in clean, fully functional condition. It would display beautifully or serve as a reliable everyday companion.
