This United Boker Solingen Germany stockman knife is a late-20th-century revival of the classic American cattle-knife pattern, produced for export and finished with striking “Christmas Tree” composite handles. While inspired by earlier mid-century designs, this knife reflects Böker’s continued commitment to traditional patterns well into the modern era—pairing old-world Solingen craftsmanship with durable, visually bold materials.
The knife features the classic three-blade stockman configuration, consisting of a clip point master blade, a sheepsfoot blade, and a spey blade. The master blade is etched “Rustler’s Stock UC 124CT,” a period marketing designation used by United Boker during its late-20th-century production runs. The front nickel silver bolster is engraved “055,” adding a subtle numbered detail that collectors appreciate.
Measuring 4 inches closed, this is a full-size stockman with excellent presence in hand. Despite visible age, all blades remain tight with good snap, reflecting solid Solingen manufacture.

📜 Historical Note
Following World War II, Böker continued exporting knives to the American market under the United Boker name. During the late 20th century, the company produced a number of revival-style knives that drew heavily from classic American patterns while incorporating contemporary steels and decorative handle materials. The “Rustler’s Stock” series reflects that moment—blending nostalgia, function, and Solingen precision.
🧲 Collector’s Note
While not an early celluloid Christmas Tree knife, this example is a legitimate Solingen revival piece with strong visual appeal, traditional mechanics, and honest age. Collectors appreciate these knives for what they are: well-made German stockman knives that celebrate classic forms without the fragility of early materials. A great crossover piece for Boker collectors, stockman enthusiasts, or anyone drawn to bold handle patterns.
