This 1995 Remington Master Guide One R1273 folding knife is a refined example of Remington’s modern-era collector tradition—combining classic American pocketknife design with the precision and finish expected of the Master Guide series. Built as a larger, more substantial companion to the standard Guide knives, the R1273 offers both presence and practicality in a timeless form.
The knife features two blades housed in warm brown jigged Delrin handles, accented by bright nickel silver bolsters and brass liners. Measuring 5-3/8 inches closed, it has a reassuring heft in hand while maintaining the clean lines that define Remington’s Guide lineage. Both blades bear crisp factory markings, and the overall presentation reflects careful handling rather than use.

History
Remington’s Guide and Master Guide knives were produced during the late 20th century as part of a renewed focus on American-made collector folders. The Master Guide One designation marked a step up in size and presence, appealing to enthusiasts who wanted a knife that felt substantial while still honoring traditional patterns. The R1273, produced in 1995, reflects this era of thoughtful, collector-oriented craftsmanship.
Collector’s Note
The R1273 is an excellent choice for collectors seeking a larger Remington Guide pattern without sacrificing classic styling. Its size, condition, and clear markings make it a strong standalone display piece or a natural addition to a broader Remington Guide collection.
