This Bulldog Brand Pit Bull Congress knife is a handsome example of late-20th-century Solingen craftsmanship, pairing traditional American patterning with German precision. Featuring four well-matched blades housed in smoothly contoured bone handles, this knife balances utility, symmetry, and collector appeal in a compact, pocket-friendly form.
The blades are crisply ground and carry Bulldog’s familiar character—bold profiles, clean tang stamps, and confident snap. One main blade bears a decorative “Pit Bull / Trade Mark” etch, adding visual interest without overwhelming the knife’s classic lines. Polished nickel silver bolsters frame the creamy bone scales beautifully, giving this Congress pattern a refined, finished presence.

📜 Historical Note
Bulldog Brand knives were produced in Solingen, Germany, primarily from the late 1970s through the 1990s, and quickly earned a following among American collectors for their bold styling, strong snap, and traditional patterns. The Pit Bull line became one of the brand’s most recognizable series, often featuring distinctive blade etches and premium handle materials such as polished bone.
🧲 Collector’s Note
Bulldog Congress knives remain especially collectible due to their balanced design and lower production numbers compared to single- or two-blade patterns. This example stands out for its clean bone handles, tight mechanics, and crisp Solingen markings—an excellent addition to a Bulldog collection or a strong standalone piece for fans of German-made traditional folders.
