Historical Note

Robert Klaas knives have been produced in Solingen since the 19th century under the iconic Kissing Crane trademark. Knives marked with pattern numbers such as 1235 XVIII are generally associated with mid-to-late 20th-century production, a period when Klaas was exporting high-quality traditional knives featuring natural materials like stag to international markets.

Collector’s Note

Kissing Crane knives with genuine stag handles, multiple clear tang stamps, and strong mechanical action are increasingly sought after by collectors. This example stands out for its compact size, attractive stag, and classic blade combination—making it an excellent addition to a Solingen collection or a refined everyday vintage carry.
