Description
This vintage Boker stockman is a striking example of late 20th century Solingen craftsmanship, featuring a beautifully preserved “Rustler’s Stock” blade etch and vibrant Christmas tree celluloid handles.
Stamped “United Boker Solingen Germany,” this knife represents a period when Boker continued producing traditional American patterns with added visual flair for the export market. The classic three-blade stockman configuration—clip point, sheepsfoot, and spey—offers both utility and timeless appeal.
The standout feature here is the handle material: smooth Christmas tree celluloid with rich, shifting tones of green, gold, and deep red. Paired with the Boker tree shield and clean nickel silver bolsters, this knife has a strong visual presence both open and closed.

Historical Note
By the late 20th century, Boker’s Solingen factory was continuing its long tradition of exporting classic pocketknife patterns to the American market. During this period, the company began incorporating more vibrant handle materials and decorative blade etches to appeal to collectors and everyday users alike.
Knives like this represent that transition—traditional in form, but with added character through bold materials and branding.
Collector’s Note
While not an early Boker, this is a highly desirable example of later Solingen production.
Attractive Christmas tree celluloid handles
Clean and readable blade etch
Full-size 4” stockman pattern
Pattern-numbered bolster (055)
This is the kind of knife that stands out in a display while still being fully functional as a classic carry.
