This vintage Camillus pen knife is a compact and highly functional American-made pocket knife, produced during the late 20th century when Camillus Cutlery was still manufacturing reliable working knives in New York.
Featuring a traditional two-blade configuration, this knife pairs a classic clip point blade with a Coping blade—the latter known for its straight edge and angled tip, making it ideal for controlled cutting tasks and utility work.
The handles are fitted with dark-stained wood scales, giving the knife a warm, understated look that reflects its working-class roots. Nickel silver bolsters and brass liners complete the build, staying true to traditional American slipjoint construction.
Small in size but big on usability, this is the kind of knife that was made to be carried daily.

Historical Note
Camillus Cutlery Co., founded in 1876 in Camillus, New York, was one of America’s longest-running knife manufacturers. By the 1980s and 1990s, Camillus had become a major supplier of both civilian and military knives, producing dependable, no-nonsense tools built for everyday use.
Knives from this era reflect a shift toward practicality and durability, often favoring straightforward materials like wood and stainless steel while maintaining traditional patterns that date back generations.
Collector’s Note
While not a high-end collector piece, this is exactly the kind of knife that represents the backbone of American cutlery:
Genuine USA-made Camillus
Classic pen knife size and pattern
Desirable sheepsfoot secondary blade
Perfect for EDC, gifting, or entry-level collecting
These smaller Camillus knives are becoming harder to find in solid working condition.
